Metastatic Breast Cancer Tissue Bank
Secondary1st took part in the inaugural meeting of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Tissue Bank Advisory Group at Barts Cancer Institute. Professor Louise Jones, a Secondary1st Medical Patron and Professor of Breast Pathology at Barts Cancer Institute, explained the urgent need for tissue samples from secondary breast cancer tumours to enable researchers to study the spread of breast cancer cells and the ways in which these cells evolve and mutate. This will help scientists to develop more effective treatments for secondary breast cancer.
