A group of young friends got together to enjoy a “slime-off” party.  The 10-year-old organiser explained: “On the last day of term I had a slime party to raise money for Secondary1st.  I wanted to do this because my grandmother and my brother’s friend’s mum’s best friend died of secondary breast cancer.

I was inspired by my brother doing a bike ride to raise money. And I wanted to do something to help too.

I invited all the girls from my class and we made the slime in 5 ways – plain, foam, glitter glue, colour and beads. Everyone bought a ticket to come. My friend made some clay charms to sell too. Altogether we raised £172 for Secondary1st.  I did a presentation about the charity and did show and tell to my class.”
